Our 2019 Reunion was held in Sydney Friday 6th - 8th September 2019 with 14 JRs attending supported by 6 wives/partners.

We kicked off with a great Meet & Greet at The Frisco Hotel - lots of memories there. As you would expect, after a few hours enjoying beverages on the deck, the Stokers among us (ably led by Dennis Parmenter) decided it would be a jolly good idea to sing a few Stoker ditties. Let's just say that management was 'not amused'. I think the response stemmed from the fact that The Frisco probably sells more cocktails and chardonnays now than they do schooners.
Anyway we all survived and backed up the next morning for a great tour of HMAS Hobart. New Navy went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even pretended to like our comments about how much better it was 'back in the day'.
Saturday night we went on a Harbour dinner cruise. Thanks to Ray Vidler for overseeing the organisation of the event. Great night on the Harbour with great company. Unfortunately, when we arrived back at the dock, someone thought it would be a good idea to kick on to the Pyrmont Bridge Hotel - it wasn't such a great idea, well not in the morning anyway.
Things wrapped up on Sunday with a brunch in the city.
Great weekend - now looking forward to 2020 in the Wild West.
